Watershed Study Service

The City of Madison, Wisconsin requires a vendor to provide watershed study services to support its Watershed Study Program. The agency is seeking to address limitations in previous modeling efforts, which only evaluated existing conditions at the time and failed to measure the stormwater management system against current program performance targets. This project aims to update and refine existing watershed models to reflect recent development, infrastructure changes, and topographic discrepancies. The scope of work covers updating watershed models and plans for the areas of greatest concern within the Madison area. The selected vendor must identify and incorporate infrastructure constructed since the initial model development, including pipes, ponds, greenways, and road crossings. Additionally, the work requires resolving discrepancies between current model topography and recent topographic data, revising subcatchment delineations affected by new development grading, and collecting any missing data necessary to meet agency objectives. The vendor must deliver a technical memorandum summarizing these review findings, listing areas that require updates, and recommending an approach for each. The contract period spans one year, and the agency will permit the performance of all work to occur offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore, United States organizations only. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed a pre-set funding limit.
