Airport Operations Management Services

The Halifax County Industrial Development Authority in Halifax, Virginia, is seeking a professional airport operations manager to oversee the day-to-day operational, safety, administrative, and regulatory functions of the local airport. The agency needs an on-site representative to support business aviation, emergency and public service operations, agricultural aviation, recreational flying, and local economic development. While the agency will retain ownership, policy authority, and strategic control of the airport, the selected manager will serve as the primary point of contact for airport users, tenants, and the public. The scope of work requires the manager to implement and maintain airport safety and emergency response procedures, coordinate facilities and maintenance, and maintain accurate operational and financial records. The designated manager must promote positive public relations, interact professionally with the aviation community, and represent the airport at meetings, inspections, or public events. The agency will support these efforts by providing available airport records and documentation as needed. Eligible bidders must be organizations based in the United States. The performance of the contract work may occur onsite or offsite, and the contract period will run for one year.
