After-Hours Park Patrol Services

The City of Gilroy, California, is seeking unarmed after-hours security patrol services for city parks, trails, landscaped areas, and associated public facilities that are closed to the public. The agency needs to secure these facilities, enforce park closure hours, deter unauthorized activity, document incidents, and coordinate with city staff. The selected provider must ensure all park patrons have exited facilities at designated closing times and eject after-hours trespassers, including campers and unauthorized vehicles. The scope of work requires two security guards working part-time shifts between 10:00 pm and 2:00 am. Guards must physically verify, secure, and reopen all assigned facilities during each patrol, as drive-by inspections are strictly unacceptable. The agency requires the use of a guard tour and patrol verification system with GPS-based checkpoint tracking, as well as the maintenance and updating of the security procedures manual. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. Although the patrols occur at physical city locations, the agency classifies the performance of the work as offsite. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for these services. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 1, 2026.
