Resilient Voice-Enabled Artificial Intelligence (AI) Assistant Service

The United States Space Force is seeking a vendor to design and demonstrate the feasibility of a secure, edge-deployable, voice-enabled artificial intelligence assistant. This assistant must provide hands-free command and control of autonomous logistics systems, enabling personnel to operate robotic assets safely and efficiently during rapid cargo movements. The agency requires this technology to solve the challenge of operating in high-noise expeditionary environments and disconnected, denied, degraded, or disrupted conditions without relying on persistent external or cloud connectivity. The scope of work covers the design and training of resilient speech-to-text and intent-recognition models optimized for high-noise expeditionary and spaceport acoustic environments. The selected vendor must evaluate the performance of the assistant on representative edge-computing hardware to validate latency, processing requirements, and performance under disconnected conditions. Deliverables include a system architecture and design document outlining technical specifications and security frameworks, as well as a validated voice-command lexicon of mission-relevant commands and natural language intents specific to logistics. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency expects the performance of the work to take place offsite.
