Freight Data Modernization Services

The government authority in Ontario is seeking a vendor to provide freight data modernization services. The agency needs to address the limitations of traditional intercept survey methods and meet the growing demand for currently unavailable freight data. This initiative aims to enhance the completeness and accuracy of inputs for transportation forecasting models and strengthen the strategic goods movement network. The project covers examining best practices in freight data acquisition and utilization to prepare a strategic plan for acquiring data that supports planning and policy priorities. The selected vendor must recommend strategies to modernize data collection methodologies for a multi-modal freight system covering road, rail, marine, and air modes. Performance of this work will take place onsite in Ontario. Eligible bidders must be located onshore within Canada. The agency allows digital submission of proposals via email or online. The authority has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to define the cost.
