Audio Visual Equipment and a Range of Audio-Visual Services

The government authority located in Ontario requires audio-visual equipment and a range of audio-visual services for classroom and event spaces. The agency is seeking to solve acoustic and sound distribution challenges through testing, analysis, modeling, and system design. The project covers offsite performance of these services over a contract period of three years. For the testing and analysis phase, the agency requires background noise level measurements of HVAC systems and other noise sources, alongside room noise level mapping using analysis software and sound level meters. The selected vendor must measure physical parameters of rooms or venues when CAD files are unavailable, prepare reports presenting data and analysis, and calculate acoustical material requirements when testing confirms a need for acoustic treatment. For the modeling and design phase, the scope includes the design and simulation of speaker systems from various manufacturers. The agency requires the creation, transposition, rework, and delivery of AutoCAD and Microsoft VISIO diagrams. The service provider must also prepare reports on modeling data, including coverage mapping, sound pressure level output capabilities, and speech intelligibility predictions. The agency requires the evaluation of speaker system amplification and signal processing requirements. The selected vendor must also calculate speaker system rigging and suspension requirements, including weight calculations. To be eligible for this opportunity, bidders must be onshore organizations based in Canada. The agency is looking for proposals to establish the budget for this work.
