The District Government in The Villages, Florida is seeking a contractor to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the installation, painting, and maintenance of wood and PVC fencing throughout the districts. The agency requires the installation of two-board, three-board, and four-board wood fencing, as well as PVC fencing. This project aims to maintain and replace the boundary and decorative fencing infrastructure across the jurisdiction. The scope of work specifies that wood posts must be treated with a minimum 0.40 retention, measuring five to six inches in diameter and seven feet in length. Wood boards must be premium grade, treated with a minimum 0.15 retention, and measure approximately one inch by six inches by sixteen feet. The agency requires posts to be tamped firm in hand-dug holes at approximately eight-foot centers, with staggered board joints and sixteen-penny galvanized screw shank nails. The finished fence height must be approximately fifty inches, and any required animal wire at the bottom of the fence must be minimum fourteen-gauge, two-by-four-inch welded wire. Only United States organizations are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The selected contractor must perform all fence maintenance and replacement work onsite within the districts.
