Energy Consulting Services

The Township of Ocean in New Jersey is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive energy consulting services to support its municipal operations. The township needs assistance with strategic planning for energy procurement and efficiency, electric and natural gas deregulation consulting, energy usage analysis, and guidance regarding legislative and regulatory updates. Through this contract, the township aims to optimize its energy consumption, navigate deregulated energy markets, and remain compliant with evolving state energy regulations. The scope of work covers building systems analysis, which requires a survey of mechanical and electrical systems in energy-intensive facilities to establish baseline energy usage and analyze current operations. The selected vendor must conduct audits relative to the SmartStart Building Program and the Clean Energy Program, provide energy improvement recommendations, and handle the design, bidding, and oversight of subsequent system upgrades. Additionally, the township requires alternative energy consulting to research, develop, and recommend alternative energy options for future municipal facilities. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based entirely in the United States. The township expects the performance of all consulting work to occur offsite. The contract period will span one year, and the township is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for these services.
