Fiber Expansion Service

The City of Aurora, Illinois is seeking a vendor to provide fiber expansion services to improve its existing government authority network. The agency needs to expand its network capacity and upgrade its current infrastructure to support growing connectivity demands. The project covers the furnishing and installation of approximately 119,584 feet of 864-count ribbon outside plant fiber optic cable utilizing the third duct of the existing agency fiber optic ring network. The scope of work also requires handhole and fiber enclosure installation, fiber cable preparation, splicing, and testing. Additionally, the selected vendor must perform existing handhole replacement, system upgrades, and lateral fiber connections. All physical performance of the work must take place onsite in Aurora, Illinois. Only organizations based onshore in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency is looking for budget proposals within the submitted bids rather than providing a pre-determined funding limit. Bidders must submit any questions regarding the project no later than June 10, 2026, and the agency will accept digital proposal submissions via email or online.
