Tower Maintenance, Repair, Inspection, Antenna Profiling and Inventory Services

The Highlands County Board of County Commissioners, located in Sebring, Florida, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive tower maintenance, repair, inspection, antenna profiling, and inventory services. The agency needs to establish the current structural integrity, compliance status, and loading capacity of all agency-owned tower structures. To solve this, the selected contractor must perform an initial baseline assessment that includes visual and mechanical inspections, preventative maintenance evaluations, repair recommendations, antenna profiling, a comprehensive equipment inventory, and structural engineering analyses. The scope of work covers annual inspections, maintenance, and repairs of the antennas, microwave systems, tower lighting systems, and structural integrity of the towers located throughout the agency. The contractor must perform an annual preventative maintenance tower climb and inspection at each tower location, which includes inspecting and adjusting the tension of guyed cables, weatherproofing exposed connectors, and sealing connectors at antennas and preamplifiers. Additionally, the contractor must open tower top preamplifier boxes to inspect for leakage, replace gaskets as needed, inspect wiring for wear, secure wiring to tower legs, and respond to emergency outages twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred sixty-five days a year. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States of America. The performance of all contracted work must take place onsite at the agency tower locations. Bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or through the designated online portal, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
