Disposable Home Sleep Study System

The government authority located in Martinez, California is seeking a vendor to provide a fully disposable, single-use home sleep apnea testing system designed to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea. The agency needs to eliminate the requirement for device returns, cleaning, or reprocessing by utilizing a disposable, wrist-worn device with a single-use finger probe. This system must utilize peripheral arterial tonometry technology and connect to a smartphone application that transmits data to the county's existing cloud-based automated scoring platform. The requested hardware scope covers a wrist-worn disposable unit featuring a single-use peripheral arterial tonometry finger probe, sensors for oxygen saturation, photoplethysmography, and three-axis accelerometers. The device must operate on a single-use lithium battery providing at least twelve hours of operation, utilize Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity, and consist of hypoallergenic, ISO 10993 compliant materials. The software scope requires a manufacturer-provided, iOS and Android compatible mobile application with guided patient setup that automatically uploads data to the county's existing cloud platform. This integrated system must generate clinical sleep reports detailing the apnea-hypopnea index, respiratory disturbance index, oxygen desaturation index, sleep stages, total sleep time, and snoring analysis while maintaining HIPAA and GDPR compliant encrypted data handling. Eligible bidders must be onshore United States organizations. The agency requires the performance of the work to be onsite in Martinez, California.
