Geotechnical Services

The City of Ames, Iowa, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive geotechnical services. The agency requires these services to support local infrastructure and construction projects by assessing soil and subsurface conditions. The scope of work covers mobilization and demobilization, utility soft-dig or ground-penetrating radar clearance, surveying tests, and full-time onsite soils technicians or engineers during drilling. The selected vendor must also perform seismic survey testing, electrical resistivity testing, soil borings, infiltration testing, bulk sampling, undisturbed soil sampling using Shelby tubes, and grouting. All project work must be performed onsite at the designated locations in Ames. The agency limits eligibility to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for this project. Bidders must submit any questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 15, 2026.
