Security Card Access Replacement Service

The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System is seeking a vendor to provide a security card access replacement service for its facilities in San Diego, California. The current card access system utilizes Lenel Facility Commander as well as OnGuard components. The agency requires the replacement of fifty-seven panels and three hundred sixty card readers across its locations. The scope of work requires pulling new low-voltage data cabling through existing conduits to replace the current wiring. Bidders must provide a price per linear foot for this cabling service due to varying site sizes. For thirteen specific sites containing trenches that convey wiring to gates, pedestals, or remote readers, bidders must provide a separate price per linear foot for trenching or micro-trenching in the event that the existing conduit is failing and unusable. Bidders must submit a total labor cost for the installation of the panels and card readers, excluding the costs of data cabling, potential trenching, and sales tax. The agency also desires a multi-year agreement for ongoing troubleshooting and support, which must encompass technical phone support, on-site troubleshooting and repair, and warranty facilitation. The initial contract period for the replacement project will be for one year. Only onshore vendors operating within the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. All performance of the work must take place onsite at the agency locations in San Diego.
