CCTV System

The City of San Jose, California, requires a vendor to provide and install a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system to upgrade its surveillance capabilities. The agency is attempting to modernize its security infrastructure by integrating new and existing hardware into a cohesive system. The project solves the challenge of managing disparate video feeds by requiring the new hardware and software to program and operate identically to the existing CCTV equipment. The scope of work covers installing a system of 56 cameras connected primarily via coaxial cabling, with fiber-optic cabling utilized for long-distance transmission. Additionally, the agency requires the integration of 23 existing cameras into the new CCTV servers, which currently record video streams on a Pelco video management system. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires all performance of the work to occur onsite at the government facility in San Jose. The contract period will span one year, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget. The agency will host a non-mandatory pre-proposal conference on June 11, 2026, to address preliminary inquiries. Bidders must submit all questions regarding the solicitation no later than June 17, 2026. The evaluation will focus on the bidder's ability to meet the technical integration requirements and execute the physical installation within the designated timeline.
