Respiratory Personal Protection Compliance GenAI Tools

The California Department of Transportation is seeking a contractor to provide a Generative Artificial Intelligence tool to manage respiratory personal protection compliance. The agency aims to leverage the benefits of Generative Artificial Intelligence while carefully balancing the risks associated with these new technologies. The contractor must furnish all labor, travel, per diem, materials, nonconsumable supplies, parking fees, bridge tolls, insurance, transportation, and equipment necessary to perform the services. The scope of work requires the delivery of a Software as a Service platform accessed via a password-protected, internet-browser-based portal. The platform must assign unique agency site codes and employee identification numbers to each employee, and it must send automatic email notifications to employees and administrators at customizable intervals before certificate due dates. The system must also allow administrators to upload employee fit test certificates in Portable Document Format, support bulk employee enrollment via CSV or Microsoft Excel files, and accommodate the migration of 3,000 to 4,000 existing certificates from the current vendor. The requested services do not include actual fit testing or the issuance of fit test certificates. The agency requires all work to be performed offsite within the United States. Services must be provided during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding State holidays, or as directed by the agency project representative. The agency is establishing a contract period of two years and is currently seeking proposals to determine the budget.
