Consultant for Advanced Metering Infrastructure System

The City of Tempe is seeking professional consulting services to assist in selecting and implementing an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system. The agency needs to align all recommendations with its future-state Oracle Customer Cloud Service (CCS) environment, which will be operational prior to the AMI implementation. The selected consultant will perform a needs assessment study to determine the current and future technology and infrastructure needs of the City. The scope of work requires assessing existing interfaces to other City software applications and ensuring integration with the CCS environment. The consultant must prepare a comprehensive process mapping document with workflow diagrams and text identifying the data flow process within existing and new systems. Additionally, the project covers analyzing current system redundancy for fault tolerance and recommending specifications for redundancy, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity. The agency requires the consultant to identify the necessary hardware, software, connectivity, and infrastructure components to maintain acceptable operations. The chosen partner must also develop a budget projection, a project timeline, and a resource plan detailing the staff, space, and equipment support required for initial system setup and management. Bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States, and the selected vendor must perform all work offsite at their own office location.
