Disaster Recovery as a Service

The issuing agency is seeking a vendor to provide Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) to ensure business continuity for selected critical applications. The agency needs to solve the challenge of protecting its physical and virtual infrastructure against disruptions while maintaining strict recovery timelines. The selected solution must support a maximum Recovery Time Objective of ten days and a maximum Recovery Point Objective of ten days. The scope of work covers implementation services for deploying cloud-based, hybrid, or on-premise disaster recovery infrastructure. The vendor must handle data replication, backup, failover, failback, and regular testing and validation of recovery procedures. The agency also requires continuous monitoring, support, compliance with regulatory and data protection standards, and integration with existing infrastructure, security protocols, and processes. Bidders must establish a clear process for declaring a disaster and provide detailed procedures to follow during an event. The requested solution must offer the flexibility to select and deselect workloads managed under the DRaaS contract. The agency requires reporting and documentation, including dashboards that display disaster recovery status and performance. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations located in Canada. The performance of all contracted work will take place offsite.
