RFI for Next Generation Fare Collection System

The issuing agency is seeking information to define its next-generation automated fare collection system over the next fifteen years. The agency needs to assess alternatives to the current PRESTO fare collection model and validate market cost structures to identify opportunities for reducing fare collection costs. Eligible respondents must be onshore organizations based in Canada. The agency requires the performance of the work to take place offsite. Respondents must submit their questions no later than July 3, 2026, and may submit their final responses digitally via email or online. The agency is looking for proposals to understand pricing models and cost structures. The evaluation will focus on the provided information regarding market costs, technology trends, and implementation risks.
