Software Asset Management Services

The agency is seeking an external Software Asset Management partner to assume managed services responsibility for software lifecycle management, in coordination with its Information Technology Services department. The agency needs to solve the problem of managing district software effectively without having the necessary specialized expertise internally. The requested solution must provide an organized, compliant system for the deployment, maintenance, utilization, and disposal of applications across Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Linux, mobile, and server platforms. The scope of work covers automated discovery and inventory of licensed, free, open-source, trial, SaaS, cloud, and shadow IT software to maintain an accurate inventory. The selected partner must ingest and reconcile entitlements for newly purchased software within ten business days of receiving documentation and maintain a centralized entitlement repository with a renewal calendar accuracy of ninety-eight percent or higher. Additional requirements include continuous compliance monitoring to prevent over-deployment, identifying cost savings and waste reduction opportunities, managing SaaS and cloud spend, and designing API-based integrations. Bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The performance of all requested work will take place offsite. The agency is looking for budget proposals to determine the cost of these services. The agency will award a contract for a period of three years. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 8, 2026.
