RFI for Provincial Dictation and Transcription Software

The agency is seeking information to assist in the development of a potential future competition for the provision of provincial dictation and transcription software. The primary goal is to identify software solutions that perform dictation and transcription services to reduce provider administrative burden related to reporting and follow-on tasks. The agency requires a solution that supports clinical documentation formats, hands-free capabilities, real-time options, multilingual translation, and cross-platform access across mobile, web, and desktop environments. The requested scope of work covers software functionality tailored for medical terminology, clinical workflows, and specialty-specific medical vocabularies such as medical imaging, pathology, surgery, and oncology. The software must demonstrate high voice-recognition quality, competing noise reduction, the ability to add addendums to existing documents, and any built-in artificial intelligence capabilities. Additionally, the agency is seeking information regarding integration and technical compatibility, dictation audio retention structures and timelines, and features that enhance the patient experience. The implementation requirements include an onboarding plan with configuration and integration, live or documented training resources for end-users, and post go-live support. Only onshore Canadian organizations are eligible to participate in this market research. Performance of the work will occur offsite, and respondents may submit their information digitally via email or online.
