Cloud Based Backup and Disaster Recovery Solution

The agency is seeking a vendor to provide a cloud-based backup and disaster recovery solution. The project aims to solve the challenges of data protection and business continuity across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. The contract period will span three years, and the selected vendor will perform all work offsite. The scope of work requires support for cross-cloud backup and recovery scenarios, such as AWS to Azure and vice versa, including cloud configurations via CloudFormation and ARM templates. The requested solution must optimize storage usage and costs while offering flexible retention policies, tiered storage, long-term archival options, and high-performance backup characteristics like speed, deduplication, and compression. Additionally, the agency requires granular recovery for files, emails, and application objects, full system or VM recovery to dissimilar environments, automated recovery workflows, and robust threat detection, prevention, and ransomware mitigation mechanisms. Bidders must demonstrate the usability of their audit logging, reporting, and access control models, as well as how easily the solution deploys, scales, and integrates with existing enterprise systems. Only Canadian organizations operating onshore are eligible to bid on this opportunity.
