Advanced Placement U.S Government and Politics Textbooks Service

The Virginia Beach school authority is seeking Advanced Placement (AP) U.S. Government and Politics textbooks and associated services to support a college-level, nonpartisan introductory course. The curriculum must introduce students to key political concepts, institutions, policies, and behaviors characterizing the constitutional system and political culture of the United States. To solve the need for comprehensive course materials, the agency requires resources that help students study foundational documents, Supreme Court decisions, and other texts to understand political interactions and develop skills in data interpretation, comparison, and evidence-based argumentation. The scope of work covers the provision of class sets of physical textbooks, teacher editions in both print and web-based formats, and six-year individual student licenses for web-based textbooks. The selected provider must also deliver associated ancillary materials, a test bank of questions aligned to College Board standards, and ongoing professional learning to support teachers in using the adopted materials. All work will be performed offsite. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency is currently looking for proposals and has not disclosed a specific budget. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 26, 2026.
