Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System

The Wellesley Municipal Light Plant in Wellesley, Massachusetts, is seeking a vendor to provide a turnkey design and installation of a real-time Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The agency needs this system to remotely monitor and control the conditions of its electrical power system. The project aims to solve the challenge of managing interconnected electrical equipment by implementing a system that can remotely control, monitor, store, display, and log-process all operational information. The scope of work covers the delivery of a SCADA system designed with a customized commercial software package architecture and hardware capable of managing various deployed devices. The agency requires the SCADA software to feature a fully developed control screen, database, and communication network for seamless real-time data communication. Additionally, the system must include an automated backup routine to protect against the loss of critical data, electrical equipment software, SCADA operator stations, and two-factor customer remote VPN access. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency allows the performance of the work to take place either onsite or offsite.
