Traffic Control Box Art Project Services

The City of Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking professional or emerging artists or artist teams to provide traffic control box art project services. The agency wants to transform city traffic control boxes into three-dimensional, 360-degree photo-opportunity art pieces using vinyl wraps. This initiative aims to enhance the visual appeal of the city's infrastructure while celebrating Route 66 through public art. The scope of work requires the creation of artwork designs that adhere to the Public Works policy for wrapping traffic control boxes. Artists must submit design files with a resolution of 300 dpi or higher. The final design must incorporate a specific Capital of Route 66 Art StoryMaps graphic that includes a QR code. Additionally, the selected artists must provide a descriptive title and a five-to-ten-sentence description of the artwork for inclusion in the Route 66 Art StoryMaps. Eligibility is limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. While artists can submit their proposals digitally via email or online, the actual performance of the work must occur onsite in Tulsa.
