Gateway Signs Electrification Service

The City of Newark is seeking a vendor to provide gateway signs electrification services to illuminate existing neighborhood gateway signs. The project requires demolition, trenching, and backfilling to install electrical conduits, as well as the installation and termination of conductors. The selected contractor must restore all affected surface improvements, including enhanced concrete pavement, asphalt, traffic striping, and signage. The scope of work also encompasses temporary traffic control and minor water pollution control plan best management practices. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all work to take place offsite. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget for this project. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place on June 11, 2026. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 2, 2026.
