The City of Fairburn, Georgia is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a comprehensive zoning update service. This initiative aims to solve the challenges of fragmented regulations by restructuring and reorganizing the existing ordinance, use permissions, dimensional standards, and form and site standards. The scope of work requires a full sign code rewrite, which includes updated sign type classifications, district-based sign standards, digital and electronic sign standards, corridor and downtown sign standards, and a wayfinding and civic signage framework. The selected vendor must also evaluate the purpose and performance of each overlay district, identify conflicts with base districts, and audit all existing district-level and article-level design standards. Ultimately, the project demands the consolidation of these fragmented standards into a unified regulatory framework, incorporating building form and frontage standards by district or place type. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based entirely in the United States. The agency allows the performance of all work to occur offsite, and bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or through an online portal. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is currently looking for proposals to determine cost. The agency has scheduled a pre-bid meeting for June 4, 2026.
