The District Government in The Villages, Florida is seeking a vendor to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the installation, painting, and maintenance of wooden and PVC fencing throughout its districts. The agency requires the installation of two-board, three-board, and four-board wooden fencing, alongside PVC fencing options. This project aims to maintain and replace physical boundaries across the jurisdiction to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic consistency. The scope of work requires specific material standards and installation techniques. Wooden posts must be treated with a minimum 0.40 retention, measuring five to six inches in diameter and seven feet in length, while boards must be premium grade, treated with a minimum 0.15 retention, measuring approximately one inch by six inches by sixteen feet. Workers must hand-dig all post holes, tamp posts firmly at approximately eight-foot centers, stagger board joints, and secure the structure with 16d galvanized screw shank nails to achieve a finished fence height of approximately fifty inches. Where applicable, the agency requires the installation of animal wire at the bottom of the fence consisting of minimum 14-gauge, two-inch by four-inch welded wire. The agency limits eligibility to onshore United States organizations. The selected contractor must perform all work onsite within the districts.
