Camera Systems Preventative Maintenance Services

The Greater Lynchburg Transit Company, acting as the local government authority in Lynchburg, Virginia, requires preventative maintenance services for its camera system equipment. The authority is seeking to resolve potential equipment failures and maintain optimal security operations through scheduled inspections and upkeep. The scope of work covers the annual preventative maintenance and inspection of closed-circuit television cameras, their housings, and pan/tilt units. The selected contractor must perform minor repairs and adjustments on an as-needed basis during these inspections. The scope also includes the repair and potential replacement of associated hardware components, as well as managing the licensing associated with the system software. The authority requires all camera maintenance to occur annually between May 30 and March 15 to prevent any interference with standardized testing scheduled within the buildings. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based entirely in the United States. While the authority is seeking proposals to establish the budget, the work itself will be performed offsite. The authority will hold an optional virtual pre-bid meeting on June 2, 2026, to address questions regarding the procurement. The resulting contract will cover a performance period of one year.
