Professional Crossing Guard Services

The City of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, is seeking professional crossing guard services to monitor, supervise, and assure the safety of school children utilizing intersections and crosswalks. The selected provider must halt vehicles using mechanical and hand signals to permit children to cross roads safely, while also maintaining order among children assembled at crossing points. Additionally, the personnel must report traffic violations and non-compliant license plate numbers to the police department, report safety-violating students to school authorities, and educate children on traffic safety and pedestrian controls. The scope of work requires all on-duty guards to wear reflective traffic safety vests at all times. The agency is contracting these services for a three-year period, with the performance of the work occurring offsite from the provider's headquarters at designated local school zones.
