Security Access Control Service

The Town of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive, modern security access control service for its facilities. The agency needs to gain full internal control over its security access administration, eliminating its current reliance on third-party providers for managing access permissions. The project aims to improve overall safety and operational efficiency through an integrated solution that covers electronic access control, system monitoring and alerting, fire alarm integration, ammonia detection, and flood and environmental monitoring. The scope of work requires the delivery of a system that allows designated staff to independently manage access credentials and supports role-based administrative permissions. The proposed solution must feature modern infrastructure supporting redundancy, uptime, and emergency response, with the capability to expand to additional doors and facilities without proprietary constraints. Additionally, the system must integrate with third-party monitoring services to securely transmit alarm events and incident notifications. Bidders must be onshore entities located in Canada, and the performance of the work must take place onsite in Sylvan Lake. The contract period will span one year, and the agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 10, 2026, and bidders must submit all questions no later than June 17, 2026.
