Wi-Fi Space Occupancy Assessment Service

The Michigan-based government authority is seeking a vendor to provide a Wi-Fi space occupancy assessment service. The agency needs to evaluate the technical feasibility of using its existing Wi-Fi infrastructure for space analytics while ensuring data accuracy and consistency across different buildings, space types, and occupancy conditions. The requested system must feature structured API access with documented endpoints, authentication methods, and rate limits to extract data at varying levels of granularity, from the building level down to specific floors, zones, or spaces, at hourly or fifteen-minute intervals. The agency is also requesting tools to compare scheduled versus actual utilization at the room or zone level. The service must integrate with enterprise data warehouses, reporting environments, space management platforms, asset management systems, Integrated Workplace Management Systems, and Michigan State University IT-managed APIs and data services. Additionally, the agency requires dashboards and visualization tools that can be embedded or aligned with existing analytics environments like Power BI, featuring a minimum visualization at the building floor level with configurable time resolutions. Bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States to be eligible for this opportunity. The performance of all contracted work will take place offsite.
