The City of Aurora, Illinois, is seeking a vendor to expand its existing government fiber optic ring network. The agency needs to solve capacity and connectivity limitations by utilizing the third duct of its current infrastructure. The project covers the furnishing and installation of approximately 119,584 feet of 864-count ribbon outside plant fiber optic cable. The scope of work requires handhole and fiber enclosure installation, along with existing handhole replacement and general system upgrades. The selected vendor must perform fiber cable preparation, splicing, testing, and lateral fiber connections. All physical work must take place onsite in Aurora, Illinois. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. Bidders must submit any questions regarding the project no later than June 10, 2026. The agency accepts digital proposal submissions via email or through their online portal. The agency is looking for budget proposals within the submissions, and has not disclosed a pre-determined funding limit.
