Drone Detection System

The government authority located in Kentucky is seeking a drone detection system to monitor and secure its airspace. The agency needs to solve the problem of unauthorized drone activity by identifying and tracking various sizes and types of drones, including commercial, hobbyist, and custom-built models, as well as locating their operators. The system must operate reliably in diverse weather conditions such as rain, fog, and snow. The requested scope of work requires a system capable of continuous, simultaneous tracking of multiple drones, including their flight path, altitude, and speed. The agency requires specific features such as custom tracking zones, identification of drone makes and models, and a historical replay of flights and established zones. The system must also include an intuitive, mobile- and tablet-friendly user interface, a customizable dashboard for data analytics, real-time text and email alerts, and access for an unlimited number of users. Eligible bidders must be onshore United States organizations. The agency permits the performance of the work to take place offsite. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to determine the cost. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 4, 2026.
