Remote Database Administration Services

The Capital District Transportation Authority in Albany, New York is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide remote and on-call Database Administration services for its Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments. The agency requires twenty-four-seven-three hundred sixty-five proactive monitoring and incident response to support approximately one hundred twenty users of these third-party systems. The selected provider must manage hybrid on-premises and Microsoft Azure workloads, assist with future cloud initiatives, and support database aspects of enterprise application upgrades. The scope of work covers operational administration including backup and restore, patching, upgrades, capacity planning, index and statistics maintenance, performance tuning, and configuration and license optimization. The agency requires backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery practices aligned to its Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan, specifically utilizing Veeam version twelve immutability plus Pure snapshots with defined retention periods. The provider must implement agency security policies informed by the agency Cybersecurity Framework and industry standards, while also delivering monthly health, performance, and security reporting and participating in quarterly service-review meetings. Eligible bidders must perform all work offsite and must be located onshore within the United States. The agency is issuing this opportunity for a contract period of one year and is looking for proposals to define the budget.
