Freight Data Modernization Services

The government authority located in Ontario is seeking a vendor to provide freight data modernization services. The agency needs to examine best practices in freight data acquisition and utilization to prepare a strategic plan for acquiring data that supports planning and policy priorities. This initiative aims to address the limitations of traditional intercept survey methods and meet the growing demand for currently unavailable freight data. The project covers recommending strategies to modernize data collection methodologies for a multi-modal freight system, which includes road, rail, marine, and air modes. The selected vendor must enhance the completeness and accuracy of inputs for transportation forecasting models and strengthen the strategic goods movement network. Performance of the work will take place onsite in Ontario. Eligible bidders must be located onshore within Canada. The agency accepts digital submissions of proposals via email or online. The authority is looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not provided a pre-set funding amount.
