The City of Galveston, Texas is seeking emergency food and lodging services to support essential municipal employees and equipment during disaster events. The agency needs a facility to serve as a refuge during hurricanes, severe weather, hazardous material incidents, or other emergencies. This contract will span a three-year period to ensure continuous readiness and operational continuity for the municipality. The scope of work requires a facility located within the Galveston city limits that can provide up to 350 sleeping rooms at the prevailing federal per diem rate, with each room accommodating one to two people. The agency also requires meeting spaces, including one backup emergency operations center for 10 people equipped with phones, internet, tables, and chairs, as well as two meeting rooms that can hold 100 people each with chairs. Additionally, the facility must provide meals and elevated, indoor parking spaces for 75 vehicles, with many of these vehicles requiring at least a 14-foot height clearance. Eligibility is restricted to onshore United States organizations. The performance of all requested services will take place offsite at the selected provider's facility. Bidders may submit their proposals digitally via email or through an online portal, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget.
