Respiratory Personal Protection Compliance GenAI Tools

The California Department of Transportation is seeking a contractor to provide respiratory personal protection compliance Generative Artificial Intelligence tools. The agency aims to realize the potential benefits of Generative Artificial Intelligence through the development and deployment of these tools while balancing the risks of the new technologies. The contractor must furnish all labor, travel, per diem, materials, nonconsumable supplies, parking fees, bridge tolls, insurance, transportation, equipment, and every other item of expense necessary to perform the services. The project covers the provision of a Software as a Service platform via an internet-browser-based portal with password protection. The portal must allow the assignment of a unique agency site code and unique agency employee identification number to each employee. The platform must send automatic email notifications to employees and administrators at intervals set by the administrator, such as thirty days and fourteen days prior to Medical Certificate and Fit Test Certificate due dates. The platform must also allow administrators to upload employee Fit Test certificates in Portable Document Format, support the migration of between three thousand and four thousand Medical and Fit Test Certificates from the current vendor, and allow bulk enrollment of employees in CSV or Microsoft Excel format including respirator type and site code. The scope of work does not include Fit Testing or issuing Fit Test Certificates. The contractor must perform all work offsite within the United States. The agency requires the services to be provided during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, except State holidays, or as directed by the agency project representative or designee. Bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or online. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and will award a contract with a performance period of two years.
