GLOBAL - Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Technical Research Advisor Service

The issuing agency is seeking an artificial intelligence and machine learning technical research advisor service to support a growing portfolio of initiatives. This portfolio operates at the intersection of responsible, safe, and fair artificial intelligence, financial inclusion, gender equity, and women's health. The selected advisor will design and build safe, fairness-aware machine learning models for credit, loan eligibility, and health-related product recommendations. The scope of work requires building and deploying agentic artificial intelligence components for automated financial guidance and policy drafting. The advisor must also develop and fine-tune large language model pipelines for natural language policy recommendation outputs. Additionally, the project covers designing, building, and evaluating recommender systems that explicitly account for financial exclusion, gender, and income disparities. The agency requires ongoing fairness audits of model outputs using gender-disaggregated data to identify and address intersectional disparities across gender, income, geography, and other protected attributes. The advisor will translate model outputs into actionable policy briefs and recommendations for central banks, regulatory bodies, and government ministries. Responsibilities also include leading and contributing to peer-reviewed publications and conference submissions regarding artificial intelligence fairness, ethics, safety, and financial inclusion. The contract period is for one year, and the performance of the work will be offsite. Eligibility is open worldwide to global bidders.
