Unarmed Security Guard Service

The Capital Area Transit System in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is seeking unarmed security guard services to secure its building perimeter and parking lot. The agency needs to ensure that safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms, bomb threats, and other emergencies. The selected security officer will check all bags of visitors entering the premises to prevent weapons or harmful objects from entering the facility. The scope of work requires the security officer to periodically check the exterior of the building and parking lot areas to curtail and correct any inappropriate behavior. The guard must maintain control of visitors and vendors and monitor the parking lot from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am CST on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and for 24 hours on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The agency requires that guards remain awake during their assigned working hours and will conduct examinations and reviews of the guard's performance while on duty. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires all work to be performed onsite at the Baton Rouge location.
