The government authority located in Sacramento, California is seeking daytime janitorial services to maintain its facility. The agency requires a contractor to perform cleaning using appropriate cleaners for each specific surface and finish. To ensure thorough maintenance, the contractor must move office items such as furniture, equipment, mats, and stanchions before performing carpet or floor tasks, and allow these surfaces to dry completely before returning items to their original locations. The scope of work involves cleaning and disinfecting a comprehensive list of high-touch surfaces throughout the facility. These surfaces include handrails, door edges, doorknobs, push plates, desks, tables, chairs, couches, file cabinets, kiosks, fingerprint readers, computers, keyboards, monitors, touch screens, keypads, computer mice, telephones, and printers. Additionally, the contractor must sanitize light switches, elevator buttons, sinks, faucets, bathroom counters, toilets, dispensers, water closet handles, drinking fountains, kitchenette countertops, water cooler controls, and appliance handles. Specialized cleaning protocols apply to plexiglass protection shields and portable handwashing sinks. The contractor must clean plexiglass with clean microfiber cloths and neutral cleaners, and disinfect it using products free of alcohols, solvents, or ammonia-based compounds. Portable handwashing sinks require non-abrasive tools and chemicals for their interior and exterior, and the contractor must empty, rinse, clean, and disinfect the wastewater holding tanks in the janitor closet sink. The agency is limiting eligibility to onshore bidders located within the United States, and all work must be performed onsite. The contract period will run for one year. The agency is seeking proposals to determine the budget for this project. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 17, 2026.
