Public Art Management Plan Update Service

The City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado is seeking a consultant to update and modernize its existing public art management plan. The agency needs a clear, actionable, and sustainable framework for the management, funding, maintenance, acquisition, deaccessioning, and long-term stewardship of the municipal public art collection. This project aims to solve the problem of outdated administrative guidelines by producing a contemporary, user-friendly document that reflects current best practices in public art administration and collection management. The scope of work requires the selected consultant to collaborate with city staff, the cultural commission, and other stakeholders. The consultant must coordinate and facilitate meetings or workshops with the Cultural Commission throughout the project to build consensus around policy updates, maintenance priorities, and funding strategies. Additionally, the work includes compiling and organizing available maintenance and conservation documentation, as well as clearly identifying policy recommendations and procedural workflows. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency allows the performance of the work to occur offsite, and bidders must submit their responses digitally via email or online.
