Public Address System Installation Service

The issuing agency is seeking a vendor to provide a public address system installation service to enhance communication, safety, and emergency preparedness within school premises. The agency requires a comprehensive site assessment and acoustical survey to determine optimal locations for speakers, amplifiers, and control interfaces. The scope of work covers procuring commercial-grade audio components rated for continuous institutional use, including 70V/100V line distributed audio speakers rated at a minimum of 10 to 30 watts each, and amplifiers with a minimum of 20 percent headroom. The selected vendor must install the speakers and cabling infrastructure using plenum-rated cabling and provide a UL-listed 19-inch equipment rack with a power distribution unit, cable management, and thermal ventilation. System validation requires testing with SPL meters, tone generators, and signal analyzers to verify coverage uniformity within a plus or minus 3 decibel SPL variance and an audio intelligibility score of 0.6 or higher. The agency also requires on-site operational training for school administrators and designated staff, along with user manuals, quick-start guides, and schematic diagrams. The installed system must support a central control processor with multi-source input, zoning functionality for customizable area-based broadcasts, speakers, microphones, and emergency integration capable of auto-muting standard announcements. Additionally, the system must include a system-wide UPS providing a minimum of 30 minutes of runtime for the control rack and amplifiers. The agency is looking for proposals to define the budget, and performance of the work will be offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States.
