RFI for Public Art Service

The City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works is seeking an artist, artist team, or artist and fabricator team to create site-specific public art installations at the upcoming environmental and street services south facility. The agency wants to transform high-use areas, specifically outdoor staff gathering areas, interior flex and breakout spaces, and training rooms, into colourful, comfortable, and inviting environments. Through these installations, the agency aims to solve the problem of sterile workspaces by fostering interaction, creativity, and pride among its workforce. The scope of work requires the selected partner to design and fabricate the artwork according to approved plans, ensuring all components are structurally sound and comply with safety standards. All fabrication and design work will occur offsite. Eligible respondents must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is currently looking for budget proposals to determine the cost of the project. Interested parties must attend a pre-bid meeting scheduled for May 29, 2026. The agency will evaluate proposals based on the submitted designs and qualifications of the artist or fabrication teams.
