The City of Buffalo, New York, is seeking professional engineering consulting services to improve safety, accessibility, connectivity, and speed reduction along Tonawanda Street near Riverside Park. The agency is trying to solve transportation and pedestrian safety issues by upgrading four intersections with green infrastructure, transit and bicycle facilities, wayfinding, and pedestrian traffic signals. The project covers the transportation systems, structures, buildings, and facilities located within and adjacent to the project boundary. The selected consultant must develop schematic designs, alternative analyses, and a comprehensive existing conditions report based on thorough data collection. The scope of work requires the consultant to perform soil and core sampling, topography and hydrology assessments, and evaluations of view corridors and natural resources, including the locations of mature trees. The agency requires the delivery of schematic designs and alternatives that include all necessary maps, tables, data, and written discussions outlined in the contract work plan. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the selected contractor to perform all work onsite at the project location in Buffalo.
