Cleaning and Janitorial Services

The District of Columbia government authority is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive cleaning and janitorial services for its facilities in Washington, DC. The agency requires these services to support the safety, appearance, and health of its facilities, which directly serve adult learner success, workforce development operations, and long-term institutional sustainability. The selected vendor will perform all work onsite under a contract lasting for a period of one year. The scope of work covers daily cleaning and disinfection of classrooms, office spaces, and restrooms, including the restocking of soap and paper supplies. Additional daily and routine tasks include trash and recycling removal, floor cleaning and maintenance, carpet vacuuming, dusting, and the disinfection of high-touch surfaces. The agency also requires window and glass cleaning, common area and exterior entrance cleaning, periodic deep cleaning, and supply and inventory coordination. The agency further requires specialized and situational support, including pre-event and post-event cleaning, emergency cleaning response, and seasonal snow and ice removal with pathway de-icing. Day porter services may also be required at a separate cost. To be eligible for this opportunity, bidders must be onshore United States organizations. The agency is looking for budget proposals to determine the cost of these services. Bidders must submit any questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 9, 2026.
