Terminal Custodial Services

The Blue Grass Airport authority in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking terminal custodial services to support and maintain all public and select secured areas of the airport terminal building. The agency needs to keep these high-traffic environments clean, safe, and well-maintained for passengers and employees. The selected contractor must service airport public circulation spaces, restrooms, the ticketing lobby, security checkpoint queuing, the baggage claim lobby, rental car queuing, gate lounges, hallways, passenger boarding bridges, sidewalks, crosswalks, and parking garage circulation spaces. The scope of work also covers the Maintenance Facility and the Customs Facility. Because some of these service areas are located within secured zones controlled by the Transportation Security Administration, the agency requires all assigned personnel to pass background security checks and obtain airport credentialing for access. The agency is offering a contract period of three years for these services, and performance of the work will take place offsite from the contractor's primary location at the airport facilities. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for cost proposals from interested bidders. A mandatory pre-bid conference will take place on June 11, 2026, to discuss the requirements. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 18, 2026.
