Wireless Modems and Cellular Routers Service

The Town of Banff, Alberta, is seeking a vendor to provide wireless modems and cellular routers service to consolidate and provide bandwidth for onboard public transit bus technologies. The agency requires the supply, delivery, partial installation, and training for forty-five wireless modems and cellular routers. The requested system must include provisions for dual SIM cellular connectivity, GPS, managed guest Wi-Fi, VPN support, multiple VLANs, and one external dome-type antenna system. The scope of work includes the on-site installation, training, programming, and provisioning of the first four units. The selected vendor must establish an interconnection between the modem and router and the existing Lantech eight-port switch. Additionally, the project requires testing and validation of the system operation upon completed installations, as well as the installation, setup, and provisioning of the core router. Eligibility is restricted to onshore Canadian organizations only. Performance of the work will take place offsite, except for the specified on-site installation and training tasks. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget for this project. All questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted no later than June 16, 2026.
