RFI for Wireless Intrusion Detection Systems

The United States Air Force at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois requires a Wireless Intrusion Detection System to continuously monitor the Radio Frequency spectrum. The agency is trying to prevent unauthorized data transmission, bridging, and eavesdropping within high-security areas by extending its physical security perimeter into the wireless domain. This solution must provide security personnel with real-time situational awareness of the wireless environment across an entire facility. The requested scope of work covers twenty-four-hour, seven-days-a-week monitoring to scan, detect, geolocate, and alert on unauthorized wireless emissions and Portable Electronic Devices. The system must support custom geofenced zones, allow for the whitelisting of various devices, and immediately identify the specific room or zone of a transmitting device. Additionally, the technology must individually distinguish a single device transmitting a radio frequency signal from surrounding devices. Eligible respondents must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency expects the performance of the work to occur offsite. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish budget expectations. Bidders must submit all questions no later than June 12, 2026.
