Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunking Services

The Illinois-based government authority is seeking proposals for Session Initiation Protocol trunking services delivered over dedicated, carrier-managed transport networks across two distinct core locations. The agency requires an independent transport layer where the external trunking infrastructure operates entirely over an independent, carrier-managed physical network transport layer terminating on vendor-managed edge equipment. The agency strictly prohibits Over-the-Top services that run through the public internet circuits or touch external firewall configurations. The agency will assume full internal operational responsibility for utilizing its internal network infrastructure, local switches, and internal routing protocols to carry local voice traffic from across its sixty-plus distributed campus facilities back to the core data centers. The environment must operate on an Active-Active Regional Routing matrix split uniformly by localized dialing paths, using Site One at the Educational Services Center as the default primary termination point for 847 area code traffic, and Site Two at Kenyon Woods Middle School for 630 area code traffic. The scope of work covers technical, E911, fax, and service level requirements, and requires a one hundred percent dedicated, private physical carrier fiber circuit per data center location. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to submit proposals for this opportunity. The performance of the work will take place offsite.
