Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunking Services

The Elgin, Illinois government authority is seeking Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking services delivered over dedicated, carrier-managed transport networks across two distinct core locations. The agency needs a centralized, geographically redundant deployment model that terminates directly inside dual District data centers to support its communication infrastructure. This project aims to solve the need for secure, reliable transport of on-premise VoIP traffic across more than sixty school and administrative facilities to the core data centers. The scope of work requires the selected provider to deliver SIP trunking infrastructure running entirely on an independent, carrier-managed network transport layer up to the on-site routers. The provider must utilize its internal network, local switches, and internal routing protocols to transport the voice traffic. Additionally, the provider must absorb, port, and fully maintain all active public-facing direct inward dial numbers currently assigned across the district. The carrier network must natively support Enhanced 911 parameters, passing precise station-level location identifiers down to the specific building and classroom level to local public safety answering points. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States of America. The agency requires the performance of the work to be conducted offsite.
